SELBY HANDS OF HOPE LAUNCH THEIR CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL WITH MCDONALD’S

October 31st 2019

Selby Hands of Hope has launched its annual Christmas Toy Appeal with McDonald’s.

This is the fifth year the food retailer has backed the charity’s campaign and they are hoping to make it their best year yet.

New toys and gifts for babies, children, and teenagers can be dropped off at their premises at the Three Lakes Retail Park anytime and need to be unwrapped.

Selby Hands of Hope Chairman, Richard Singh, said: “Christmas is a magical time for many of us, as we are able to spend time with family and spoil our loved ones. However, every year there are unfortunately, an ever-increasing amount of families who simply do not have the resources to enjoy Christmas in the way so many of us are lucky enough to.

“It can also be a difficult time, and periods of celebration can be particularly hard and alienating, especially for parents who are unable to get their children any gifts at all, which is why the donations we receive really do help to make a difference in our local community.

“Michael O’Reilly and his staff at McDonalds Selby, have supported our appeal for 5 years now, which is amazing and has made a massive difference to so many people within our area. Unwrapped gifts and toys can be dropped off at the Selby branch anytime. Simply take them to the counter or make any staff member aware. Every donation, small of big, will make a massive difference.”
