We Have a New (to Us) Van — Thanks to You

​We are delighted to officially announce that Selby Hands of Hope now has a new (to us) van on the road. You may have already seen us out and about in Selby over the past few weeks, but we’re proud to now share the full story behind it.

​

Early in 2024, we launched the Van Fund — a community appeal to

replace our ageing and unreliable vehicle. The need was clear:

our old van was costing more to keep running, and we

needed a dependable vehicle to continue our vital

work across the community.

Thanks to an incredible response, we reached our goal —

and in July this year, our newly branded van officially hit the road.

Why the Van Matters

This van is already making a huge difference. It enables us to:

Collect more donations from homes, businesses, and community groups

Deliver essential aid and grants directly to those in need

Keep our charity shop well-stocked with a wide range of affordable, pre-loved items

Every trip this van makes helps someone — whether it’s picking up a donation or delivering support where it’s needed most.
